Ugo Guidi, In the gymnasium (1967)

In the gymnasium is a work sculpted in 1967. It is in bronze, another material used by Guidi for his realizations. The composition is a big empty space on which the gymnasts are training themselves: the athlete on the right is on the rings, while that on the left maybe is on the vaulting horse, but we cannot see the instrument.
The athletes are only rough-hewed, but both go out from the space that surrounds them, signifying their ability in doing acrobatics in the air.
