Rampant horse realized in 1615 and conserved in the Museo del Bargello.
The rampant horse by Tacca is a "model": the sculptor from Carrara was able to realize equestrian monuments for the European kings. The studies of Tacca, one of the most important Baroque sculptors, wanted to find a way to realize a sculpture representing a horse in the corvette position, that is to say raised on his posterior legs.
