Ugo Guidi: l'uomo, l'arte, le grandi opere ("Ugo Guidi: the man, the art, the great works"), a virtual exhibition realized by Federico Giannini.
The aim of this virtual exhibition is to take the visitor through the production of Ugo Guidi, in a rich, stimulating and complete journey. The visitor will go across the most significant stages of Ugo Guidi's career passing through twelve rooms, each one dedicated to a particular theme. The subdivision has been thought according to precise chronological and artistic criteria: so the first theme is nature, with the first years and the first productions, until the visitor reaches the last room dedicated to the dramaticity of the scream.
In this exhibition the visitor can see the most important works by Ugo Guidi but also works by other artists which have relationships with Guidi for themes, influences, friendship. So, comparing the works by Guidi to other famous works, the visitor can understand better Guidi's production and enrich what he has learned.
A visitor can see the works' images, with two-qualities photographs, and can read short texts describing the work itself.
Moreover, the visitor fond of art can deepen his knowledge with many opportunities. The
Ugo Guidi section offers a rich and detailed biography, with some images. The Room XII contains unpublished photographs, taken from Ugo Guidi's private albums, in which the visitor can see the artist together with his friends. The
Approfondimenti section (available only in the Italian version) contains a short anthology with passages written by important art critics, memories written by who knew Ugo Guidi when he was alive, and an essay (with unpublished photographs) by Federico Giannini who describes the works realized by Guidi during his youth. The
Eventi section (available only in the Italian version) is a page on which the visitor can have informations about exhibitions, lectures, conferences held in the Museo Ugo Guidi in Forte dei Marmi.
